War For Territory

The lockerroom at SU was once a peaceful place. But then came the time of the great betrayal. IA "the Betrayer" suddenly and deliberatly attacked the locker of TSO, imprisoning my lock in a fortress of plaster.

In desperation I turned to the E-team for help.
Retribution was swift and just.
This is what happened:

The Empire strikes back

So it seems the Pirate Bay has gone down. Or rather that all providers have blocked it. So much for freedom of information... I can tell you one thing, as soon as I find a provider that defy the decision I will switch to them. Fuck the police...

Late night

Its way to late for any sane sober man to be awake but still here i am sober and probably insane, thinking of what tomorrow (saturday) might have in its hands for me, im hoping beer.

Anyway since TSO made a wonderfull job translating the lyrics to one of the best drinking songs ever I thought I would share the song with you.

Enjoy!!

never mind the pretty lame video, just listen to the song!

Lars Demian, in the spirit of Bellman

There is a swedish singer called Lars Demian that has written some great songs. Unfortunately it is difficult to enlighten the international readers about his music since he sings in swedish.
But one song in particular is somewhat of an anthem for us (beside Nena - 99 luftballoons & Journey - Don't stop believing off course) when we go drinking.

So I thought I'd at least do a rough translation of this wonderful song. It really captures the whole alcohol experience. Here goes:

I wake up in a staircase and I don't know who I am.
I am broken and bleeding, and my body feels crooked and bent.
I have a taste in my mouth as if I've eaten dead animals.

My money is gone and my watch has been broken apart.

I stumble into the street and fix myself up by a fountain.
Then I spot an open pub and I steer myself towards it.
I say: Give me a glass before the bar closes.
Give me a glass before I die from my thirst.

Something that warms a frozen heart.
Something that lights a fire in my soul.

Give me alcohol.
It makes me a man, it gives me all I can take. Alcohol.
I don't have to see things clear, it shrouds my goals. Alcohol
I raise my glass and say To the devil a toast! Alcohol
As if in my heart there's a hole.

Here among friends I regain all my courage.
Get treated to a glass that warms up my blood.
I become a tiger, I roar and I suffer.
I get courage and power that I've never had.
I meet a woman, a real duchess.
She is fair like a pixie when we dance by ourself.

Then we drink together, sisters and brothers.
We race through our booze until our brains bleed.

And the night goes by straight into a wall.
And then it all ends...

Alcohol.
It makes me a man, it gives me all I can take. Alcohol.
I don't have to see things clear, it shrouds my goals. Alcohol.

You're my best friend, you are my bethrode. Alcohol.
For my wasted life you are a symbol. Alcohol.
I raise my glass and say To the devil a toast! Alcohol
As if in my heart there's a hole.

I wake up in a staircase and I don't know who I am.
I am broken and bleeding, and my body feels crooked and bent.

As you may suspect there is a new beer night in the planning.
And IA has something special planned for the blog if all succeeds regarding this night. He who lived shall see. And maybe we'll survive to be among the enlighened ones.

It's the inside that counts

Here are pictures from the arenas, as they will look inside. By demand from IA who quite rightly demanded this info before forming an opinion about the stadiums.

Portsmouth inside:

Trading soul for comfort?

Across the world new stadiums pop up at an incredible pace. Just here in little sweden pretty much all the top clubs have new stadiums on the way, or at the very least serious reconstruction and modernisation of the old. Göteborg has it's new Gamla Ullevi and I must say that while I will miss the old stadium I realize that it's pure nostalgia. It was a rotten stadium and not fit for GAIS. But is new always the way to go?

Did not Arsenal loose a huge part of it's identity when they left Highbury?
Or am I just stuck in my ways and unwilling to accept change?

I think the answer lies in the fact that I love all the new stadiums that are beeing built as long as it's not my team that's affected. Surfed
around on World Stadiums today and picked out some of my favourite projects. Here is what we have to look forward to in the coming years:

Here is Spartak Moscow's new stadium:

Portsmouth has this fantastic creation to look forward to:

But my favourite is Valencia's new masterpiece:

Hellsongs

I know some disagree but it must be said. Hellsongs are really sweet. Their laid back soft version of Orgasmatron for instance, brilliant. As is Run to the Hills and Paranoid. The Trooper is great as is most of their versions of some of the best rock songs ever written.

If you have no idea who Hellsongs are, they are a band from Göteborg that transforms hardrock legends to their own sweet versions. With a singer whose voice just simply makes me fall in love with her, it's so great.

Check 'em out!

Poker madness

We had ourself a pokernight the other day, me, Packe, the Pokernator and the Joker.
As you can see Robert, aka The Joker, was a very gracious winner in the second game of the evening. But honors were distributed evenly this night with both Andreas, aka the Pokernator, and TSO winning a game each. But not everyone can be a winner, eh Packe? ;)

Well better luck next time. Poker at Packe, home field advantage decides it then?

The Life We Live - MMS style

I had the idea that the life you live could be reflected in the mms's you recive on your phone.
So to put that to the test I will from time to time publish the photos people send me.
No, don't worry, there will not be any "sensitive" photos shown, just from everyday life among my friends.

Here is the first batch, that I had in my phone right now:

From a concert with the great band Mustasch.
Don't know them? Download albums
"After All" and "The Latest Version Of The Truth".

Litovel, a favourite draft at our favourite beer place - "3 Små Rum"

A friend found a cool beer. As is customary, ha shared the discovery.

What to say? It's a snake gulping down a mouse.
It is awsome.
Our latest trip to the bookie resulted in 11 out of 13 correct results.
This is the cupon.
New years eve. Skating at the central ice rink at Heden.
A friend found a GAIS-shirt out there.
Naturally a mms occation.

That's all for now, keep sending me pictures though. Not only are they fun to get, they might qualify for blog fame!
